Recommended: ArchitectAgentsCompliance

Best for

  • Recruiting teams handling high application volumes
  • Campus hiring drives
  • Companies that need an auditable screening process

What you need

  • Agreed, job-related screening criteria
  • Applications from an approved applicant tracking system
  • A recruiter who reviews every shortlist

Starter prompt

Copy it, fill in the parts in square brackets, and paste it into the AI assistant your organisation allows.

You are the screening agent for the [role title] role. Assess the application below only against these criteria: [list criteria]. For each criterion, quote the evidence from the application and mark it 'Meets', 'Partly meets' or 'No evidence'. Ignore name, gender, age, photo, college name, location and any gaps in employment. Do not give an overall hire or reject decision. End with two questions a recruiter could ask to fill any 'No evidence' items. Application (personal details masked): [paste application].

How to use it

  1. 1.Agree the criteria

  2. 2.Mask and extract

  3. 3.Evaluate for fairness

  4. 4.Keep humans deciding

  1. 1

    Agree the criteria

Write job-related criteria with the hiring manager and HR. Remove anything that is a proxy for background, such as college or pin code.

  2. 2

    Mask and extract

Have a first agent remove names, contact details, photos and other personal markers before any assessment happens.

  3. 3

    Evaluate for fairness

Test the screening agent on past applications with known outcomes. Check that results do not shift when you change only masked details.

  4. 4

    Keep humans deciding

Send every assessment to a recruiter, who makes and records the decision. Audit a sample each month.

Watch out. Mask personal data before screening and use only systems your organisation has approved. The agents must never reject a candidate on their own; a recruiter decides and can explain every outcome.

What you end up with

A consistent, auditable screening process where recruiters make every decision.
